About Us:
We are an ambitious startup developing an advanced satellite imagery analysis platform that delivers cutting-edge insights to the agriculture, commodity trading, and insurance sectors. Our platform uses real-time satellite data and AI-driven predictive models to help businesses manage crop health, forecast yields, and assess risks with unprecedented accuracy.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the development and delivery of this complex platform, coordinating across multiple teams to ensure on-time execution and alignment with business goals. You will play a crucial role in bringing together engineering, data science, and agronomic expertise to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development lifecycle of the satellite imagery platform, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of features while maintaining high-quality standards. Your key responsibilities include:
- Plan, organize, and manage all phases of the project, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.

- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including senior management, development teams, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and potential roadblocks, and proactively finding solutions to keep the project on track.
- Implement agile project management methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) to promote flexibility, iteration, and continuous improvement in development processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project plans, status reports, and resource allocation, ensuring clear tracking of progress and objectives.
- Ensure that project goals are clearly defined and met, including technical specifications, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee testing and quality assurance to ensure that the platform is reliable, secure, and scalable.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture by promoting open communication, problem-solving, and continuous learning across teams.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within software development, data science, or geospatial technologies.
- Proven experience managing complex projects with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and product development.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience implementing them in technology-driven environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and deliver projects on time and within budget in a distributed working environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear project objectives and timelines.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project for tracking tasks, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Bonus:
- Previous experience working on geospatial projects, satellite imagery, or data science-driven platforms.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Agile (CSM, PSM).
Benefits:
- Competitive salary with the flexibility of remote working.
- Be part of a mission-driven startup revolutionizing the use of satellite imagery in agriculture, commodities, and insurance.
- Work with a global team of engineers, data scientists, GIS experts, and agronomists on innovative, impactful projects.
