We are looking for a talented Data Scientist \/ Machine Learning Engineer<\/strong> to develop, implement, and optimize the predictive models that power our platform. Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Data Scientist \/ Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a central role in building machine learning models that process and analyze satellite imagery<\/strong> and associated geospatial data. Your key responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models<\/strong> for crop health analysis<\/strong>, yield prediction<\/strong>, and risk assessment<\/strong> using satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Work with multispectral satellite data<\/strong> (e.g., from Sentinel-2<\/strong>, Landsat<\/strong>, or commercial satellites<\/strong>) to extract relevant features (e.g., vegetation indices<\/strong>, soil moisture<\/strong>, weather conditions<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines<\/strong> to process large volumes of satellite imagery, combining data from multiple sources such as weather data, soil data, and historical crop yield data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Optimize machine learning algorithms<\/strong> for performance and accuracy, ensuring models can operate efficiently on large datasets with minimal latency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Collaborate with backend engineers<\/strong> and GIS specialists<\/strong> to integrate models into our platform, providing real-time and historical insights to users.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA)<\/strong> to discover trends and patterns in satellite and agriculture data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning<\/strong>, computer vision<\/strong>, and remote sensing<\/strong>, applying cutting-edge techniques to enhance our platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Perform model evaluation<\/strong> and tuning to improve predictive performance, including cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and error analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Communicate results to the team and non-technical stakeholders<\/strong>, providing insights into the real-world applications of your models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • 3+ years of experience<\/strong> in data science or machine learning, with a focus on working with large datasets and building predictive models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Expertise in Python<\/strong> and key data science libraries such as NumPy<\/strong>, Pandas<\/strong>, Scikit-learn<\/strong>, and TensorFlow<\/strong> or PyTorch<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms<\/strong> (e.g., regression<\/strong>, classification<\/strong>, time-series forecasting<\/strong>, deep learning<\/strong>) and experience applying them to real-world problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Experience working with satellite imagery<\/strong> and geospatial data, including familiarity with libraries such as GDAL<\/strong>, Rasterio<\/strong>, and Geopandas<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Proficiency in working with multispectral data<\/strong> (e.g., NDVI<\/strong>, EVI<\/strong>) for crop monitoring<\/strong> and vegetation analysis<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Experience with cloud platforms<\/strong> (e.g., AWS<\/strong>, Google Cloud<\/strong>, Azure<\/strong>) and distributed computing frameworks<\/strong> (e.g., Apache Spark<\/strong>, Dask<\/strong>) for handling large datasets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
